Central Park Zoo-to-do

Please join us for Street Project's kick-off event with the kids from our second Harlem Dowling partner center! While the original Harlem Dowling, our long-time partner, is located in Harlem, due to popular demand, we have begun a new, monthly project outing with the Harlem Dowling center located in Washington Heights -- it's a whole new group of wonderful kids eager to see the sites of NYC! Please join us next Saturday, September 25 at 1:00pm for an afternoon excursion to the Central Park Zoo, followed by a ride or two on the nearby carousel, time permitting. We will meet (*promptly!*) at the Harlem Dowling Washington Heights center located on Bennett Avenue, between 189th and 190th streets, to pick up the kids and take them down to the zoo by subway. Return time to the center will be 5:30pm. When heading up to the Washington Heights center -- which is actually VERY easy! -- please allow a good 30-45 minutes of travel time. Directions to the center are listed below. **Please also note that this is a rain-or-shine project. If it turns out to rain that day, we will head to the Natural History Museum instead.** If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to e-mail me at epoitevent@yahoo.com or you can always call me on my cell phone: 646-391-7870. Hope to see you next Saturday -- and many thanks in advance for your help! It should be a very fun outing! Best, Evie Poitevent Harlem Dowling Co-Project Leader epoitevent@yahoo.com 646-391-7870
