Dinosaurs, Whales and Meteors, Oh My!

Join us as we hit the Natural History Museum with the kids from the Harlem Dowling Washington Heights Center on Saturday, October 23, 2004. We plan to visit the dinosaur exhibit, recently renovated Milstein Hall of Ocean Life, the brand-new, hands-on Arthur Ross Hall of Meteorites and the wintertime Butterfly Conservatory, with a quick lunch break somewhere in between. We'll end the day with the 40-minute IMAX film "Bugs! A Rainforest Adventure" at 3:30pm. We will return to the center around 5pm. PLEASE NOTE THAT VOLUNTEERS ARE ASKED TO PAY FOR THEIR OWN ADMISSION. The cost for museum entrance plus one IMAX film is $19 per adult. Street Project will cover the cost of admission for the Harlem Dowling kids and staff.

Harlem Dowling Washington Heights Center, located at located at 178 Bennett Avenue, between 189th and 190th streets: Take the A subway train to 190th Street Exit onto Bennett Avenue Walk four blocks east on Bennett Avenue Harlem Dowling is located inside of a grey stone church on the right side of the street called Our Savior Episcopal Church. We will meet outside, or just inside the doors in the case of bad weather.
