U.S.S. Intrepid Naval Ship w/ the Washington Heights Group!

Please join us as we take the kids of the Washington Heights center to the U.S.S. Intrepid Naval aircraft carrier for lunch and museum touring. Pick up from the center at 12:30pm sharp, return to the center by 5pm. **Please remember that, given our limited budget, we ask all VOLUNTEERS TO PAY FOR THEIR OWN ENTRANCE FEE ($16.50 per adult) and any food they may wish to purchase. Street Project pays for admission and lunch for the kids and staff of Harlem Dowling. FYI, I do have 20% off discount coupons which I will bring and will save you a few dollars each.** Also, please note that we ask all volunteers to commit to both picking up and dropping off the kids at the center to ensure their safety and to take advantage of travel time to bond. If, and only if, you have a commitment you can't break do we ask that you at least commit to traveling one way -- either pick-up or drop-off at the center. Furthermore, please allow a good hour to travel up to the center. (Iím giving myself an hour-and-a-half to be extra safe!) We are making a concerted effort now to depart right on time so we can ensure a timely return. To get to the Intrepid, we will take the A train down to 42nd Street and transfer to the cross-town bus to the West Side. U.S.S. Intrepid Pier 86 West 46th Steet and 12th Avenue 877-957-SHIP (7447) http://www.intrepidmuseum.org/ Look forward to having you all join us on what will no doubt be a very fun day!
