Mott Hall Science Fair

Qualifications: Volunteers should have a science and technology educational background and be ready to engage children in discussions about their science fair projects. Description: Mott Hall is a Grade 4-8 school for academically accelerated students of School District 6 in Region 10, which emphasizes mathematics, science, and technology. As part of the science curriculum, all students at Mott Hall select a topic for investigation, learn what is already known about the topic, design and conduct an investigation, and prepare a written and oral presentation on their findings. The Mott Hall Science Fair is the final result of the students’ hard work. We will ask you to visit approximately 20 poster boards for a specific grade and chat with the student teams. They love to talk about their research! We will ask you to recommend a 1st, 2nd, 3rd place project and honorable mentions. Several “judges” will be asked to view each grade’s projects. The teacher of each grade will then use these recommondations to help determine the winning projects for the grade.
