Revitalize Hudson River Park

Please join us in revitalizing Hudson River Park!

All we will be needing is a group of focused people. We will provide all necessary tools including gloves. First time gardener's welcome! Those who have never done any gardening work are welcome as well!

Please be prepared to be flexible in tasks. We will be planting and transplanting Liriope in the new Pier 40 front turn-around beds. Pier 40 is a long, two storey, yellow and light blue building, which juts out into the river. Please be prepared to do any gardening task. Thanks in advance!

Duration: Between 9:45am and 1:30pm

This project will be at Pier 40
353 West Street
New York, NY

Cross Streets: Intersection of West Houston Street and Westside Highway

Directions: Please use http://www.hopstop.com/ for detailed directions. I entered "353 West Street" at the destination and I could find it. In addition http://www.mapquest.com/maps/W+Houston+St+%26+West+St+New+York+NY+10001/ might help you more! Irrespective of what station you get out of: Walk west for 4 blocks on West Houston Street to dead-end into Pier 40!

Meeting time: 9:45am

Meeting place: Please meet me in front of Pier 40. In the front parking lot (turn-around), we will be on the south side where the tree island is located. It is impossible to miss; you actually dead-end into the building. We will be with tons of liriope, tools, water and an HRPT (Hudson River Park Trust) work vehicle stationed there!

All volunteers must wear close toed/heeled shoes!
