Serving restaurant-style meals

Volunteers at the University Soup Kitchen, Street Project's longest running activity, serve meals to men and women of all ages in a respectful "restaurant-style" environment. Soup Kitchen is a great, fun way for busy people to lend a hand to the community while meeting other young professionals in the city. Saturdays from 11:45 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

11:45am

Church of the Nativity: 44 2nd Ave. b/w E. 2nd and E. 3rd Streets

Volunteers are needed at the Soup Kitchen for several upcoming Saturdays. Space can be limited (~6-8 people per session), so please sign up online if you're able to volunteer. Please arrive at 11:45 a.m. for a quick orientation / job assignment, and then please courteously stay until clean-up is finished. You must be 18 to volunteer. And please let us know as SOON as you know you can't make a day you've committed for.

REMEMBER: the success of these events depends on our volunteers. We understand plans change so if you sign up for an event and later realize you cannot make it, please be sure to cancel your registration on our website to free up your spot for another volunteer. Thanks in advance!
