Connecting busy New Yorkers to volunteer opportunities - and each other

Citymeals-on-Wheels

Citymeals-on-Wheels volunteer program provides contact, connection and companionship to Citymeals’ isolated homebound elderly New Yorkers. The heart of the program is the hand-delivery of hot, nutritious meals to homebound seniors. They look forward to these much needed meals and personal visits, which brighten the day. Each weekend, teams and individual volunteers help deliver meals from meal centers. Their routes are short – usually no more than 10 -12 stops – so they have time to stop and speak with our meal recipients along the way. Volunteers must be 18 years or older. Saturdays from 10:00am - 12:30pm. www.citymeals.org.

Signup! Hand Deliver Meals to Homebound Seniors - Sat, 12/22/18

Volunteers hand-deliver hot & cold meals to home-bound seniors who look forward to these much-needed personal visits. Paired in twos, we deliver meals on foot from Time Square's Encore Senior Center using a hand-driven cart. The routes are short, usually no more than 10 to 15 stops. To ensure that walking doesn't ruin your rest of the Saturday/weekend, please wear comfortable shoes & weather-appropriate clothing
