Connecting busy New Yorkers to volunteer opportunities - and each other

Carnegie East

Street Project is proud to announce a new initiative with Carnegie East to provide their elderly residents, who are on average 87 years old, in connection with you, for example: Health Advocates for Older People, founded in 1983 by leaders in community based, long-term care, is dedicated to the concept of senior independent living within a supportive community. HAFOP developed Carnegie East House, a state-of-the-art assisted-living residence. Until Carnegie East House, there has been no non-profit supportive living residence in Manhattan.

We will have monthly Sunday sessions requiring volunteers to commit to 3 days. On their first visit, Volunteers will need to have a short medical screening and a TB shot unless you have proof of vaccination.
