Connecting busy New Yorkers to volunteer opportunities - and each other

Socials

At Street Project, we don't just provide opportunities for individuals to volunteer. We're also building a community of young professionals in New York City. We host regular social events to bring our members together, to make the big city a little less big and make us all feel connected to something a little larger than ourselves.

As young professionals today, we are marrying later (if at all), switching jobs more often, and are less likely to belong to a church or formal civic association. This does not mean that we're apathetic; rather, it is a reflection of the increasing demands on our time as well as our increasing mobility. Amid the large population of New York, people are often looking to meet new people and feel connected to a larger network, outside of work and other affiliations they may have. They're also looking to give back, and that's where Street Project comes in. We aim to connect individuals to a larger community of other people who are likewise interested in giving back.
