A Day at the Museum, with Harlem Dowling 125th!
April 25, 2009Free
Come join the children and volunteers of Harlem Dowling 125th Street, for an afternoon at the American Museum of Natural History! We will start our day at the Center at 11:00 AM for a bagel breakfast and will then take the kids to the AMNH via subway. We will return to the Center for a 3:00 PM drop-off.
Fun Trivia: The hit movie “Night at the Museum” is based on fictional adventures in the American Museum of Natural History!
The cost for the event will be $2.00 for the bagel breakfast, plus the cost of your admission to the museum. Volunteers will purchase their own museum admission tickets at the AMNH. Suggested admission is $15.00.

University Soup Kitchen
University Soup Kitchen is Street Project's longest running volunteer opportunity. Volunteers serve a wholesome, freshly made meal each Saturday in a respectful atmosphere. The kitchen provides a welcoming place of respite for guests and offers vital social services to those in need.
Kids & Teens
Helping Hands provides two opportunities: 1) With Publicolor, volunteers are paired with middle and high school students to repaint and revitalize public school buildings. Or 2) volunteers can support Change for Kids’ mission to invest in NYC public elementary schools in underserved communities.
