Bowling with the Washington Heights Center
November 19, 2005Free
Come join the Harlem Dowling Washington Heights center to go bowling at Leisure Time Bowl (in Port Authority)! This event was a favorite from last year so the kids are looking forward to it. We’ll be bowling from 2 to 4 and then letting the kids have some time in the arcade afterwards. Because the event is only in the afternoon, lunch will not be provided. However, we will have some snacks and you are always welcome to bring extra snacks for the kids. Volunteer spots are limited so if you sign up but realize later you can’t make it, please cancel your registration so that another volunteer can sign up!

Choose your event by cause:
University Soup Kitchen
University Soup Kitchen is Street Project's longest running volunteer opportunity. Volunteers serve a wholesome, freshly made meal each Saturday in a respectful atmosphere. The kitchen provides a welcoming place of respite for guests and offers vital social services to those in need.
Kids & Teens
Helping Hands provides two opportunities: 1) With Publicolor, volunteers are paired with middle and high school students to repaint and revitalize public school buildings. Or 2) volunteers can support Change for Kids’ mission to invest in NYC public elementary schools in underserved communities.
