Bowling with Washington Heights (175th St) Center
November 18, 2006Free
Come join the Harlem Dowling Washington Heights group to go bowling at Leisure Time Bowling at Port Authority. We had a big turnout for this event last year so I definitely need your help!
We will meet at 12:30 at the center on 175th and Ft Washington (take the A express train to 175th) and will have pizza at the center before leaving at 1 for Port Authority. We have 2 lanes from 2 to 4, which may increase to 3 lanes depending on the number of kids that sign up.
Please be advised that volunteers who wish to bowl will need to cover the $5 cost of renting shoes
Hope you can join us!
Harlem Dowling Washington Heights center at 175th and Ft Washington. Take the A train to 175th – the center is across from the park between 174th and 175th. Go into the lobby in the middle of the 2 buildings.
Choose your event by cause:
University Soup Kitchen
University Soup Kitchen is Street Project's longest running volunteer opportunity. Volunteers serve a wholesome, freshly made meal each Saturday in a respectful atmosphere. The kitchen provides a welcoming place of respite for guests and offers vital social services to those in need.
Kids & Teens
Helping Hands provides two opportunities: 1) With Publicolor, volunteers are paired with middle and high school students to repaint and revitalize public school buildings. Or 2) volunteers can support Change for Kids’ mission to invest in NYC public elementary schools in underserved communities.
