Please join us and the students from Manhattan Middle on Saturday for a day at the Bronx Zoo! We will leave with the students from Manhattan Middle at 11:00 am (so please be 15 minutes early) and travel by subway to the Bronx Zoo, where we will eat lunch. Please bring a bagged lunch or money to buy. Please also be aware that volunteers are responsible for admission charges at Urban Adventure events.
After the event the volunteers will help the students return to Manhattan Middle by 4:30 pm. In the event you cannot make the event, please let us know. We hope you can join us!

Manhattan Middle School, 328 401 West 164th Street (entrance on Edgecombe Avenue closer to 165th street, facing east)
To get to the school: The school is in Washington Heights, the closest subway stop is on the C train: 163rd and Amsterdam. The school is two blocks north and one block east.

University Soup Kitchen
University Soup Kitchen is Street Project's longest running volunteer opportunity. Volunteers serve a wholesome, freshly made meal each Saturday in a respectful atmosphere. The kitchen provides a welcoming place of respite for guests and offers vital social services to those in need.
Kids & Teens
Helping Hands provides two opportunities: 1) With Publicolor, volunteers are paired with middle and high school students to repaint and revitalize public school buildings. Or 2) volunteers can support Change for Kids’ mission to invest in NYC public elementary schools in underserved communities.
