December Clothing Donation Day

On Saturday December 15th, we’ll be helping out Dress for Success at its Manhattan location. The event will take place from 10:40am until 3:00pm. We will be meeting and greeting clothing donors, providing tax receipts, and sorting donations to select only the best for Dress for Success clients. These events fill up quickly, so register soon!

Career Gear provides business clothing, and much-needed job retention and advancement coaching to low-income men looking to transition into the workforce. Career Gear helps its clients complete job training, secure job interviews, and succeed after they are hired.

Dress for Success helps low-income women make tailored transitions into the workforce. The organization provides interview suits, confidence boosts, and career development to more than 45,000 women in more than 75 cities each year.

Hunger Relief

University Soup Kitchen

University Soup Kitchen is Street Project's longest running volunteer opportunity. Volunteers serve a wholesome, freshly made meal each Saturday in a respectful atmosphere. The kitchen provides a welcoming place of respite for guests and offers vital social services to those in need.

Citymeals-on-Wheels

Citymeals-on-Wheels provides contact, connection and nourishment to homebound elderly New Yorkers. Volunteers deliver hot, nutritious meals to homebound and often isolated seniors in this program.

Community Support

Parks Revitalization

Help beautify and maintain parks, agencies, and nonprofit organizations all over New York City. We currently support projects in Ft Tryon Park in upper Manhattan through partnership with the Friends of Ft Tryon Park organization.

Bingo with Seniors

Cobble Hill Health Center is a long- and short-term care facility providing services to the disabled and elderly. Volunteers provide their elderly residents with much-needed social interaction. Volunteers lead a game of bingo (complete with prizes!) to boost spirits.

Kids & Teens

Helping Hands

Helping Hands provides two opportunities: 1) With Publicolor, volunteers are paired with middle and high school students to repaint and revitalize public school buildings. Or 2) volunteers can support Change for Kids’ mission to invest in NYC public elementary schools in underserved communities.

Urban Adventures

Urban Adventures works with middle school students to provide an educational and recreational outlet and to introduce them to new experiences in NYC. We currently work with Mott Hall School and Manhattan Middle School.
