First Orientation and Mother’s Day Event
May 13, 2006Free
Volunteers will be provided a tour of the facilities this first day and will be required to take a short medical screening and a TB shot unless you have proof of vaccination.
Every year, the Carnegie House asks the families of the residents to send flowers. This Saturday, we will also be potting these flowers and hand-delivering to the elderly mother’s of the House. Volunteers must be 18 years or older. Saturday from 10:00am – 2:00pm.

University Soup Kitchen
University Soup Kitchen is Street Project's longest running volunteer opportunity. Volunteers serve a wholesome, freshly made meal each Saturday in a respectful atmosphere. The kitchen provides a welcoming place of respite for guests and offers vital social services to those in need.
Kids & Teens
Helping Hands provides two opportunities: 1) With Publicolor, volunteers are paired with middle and high school students to repaint and revitalize public school buildings. Or 2) volunteers can support Change for Kids’ mission to invest in NYC public elementary schools in underserved communities.
