Food Preparation with Street Project

Join us in preparing a winter meal for men and women of all ages in a respectful “restaurant-style” environment.
January 6th morning session from 8:30am – noon.
Church of the Nativity: 44 Second Ave. b/t 2nd and 3rd Streets
Space can be limited (~6-8 people per session), so please sign up online if you’re able to volunteer. You must be 18 to volunteer. And please let us know as SOON as you know you can’t make a day you’ve committed for.

University Soup Kitchen
University Soup Kitchen is Street Project's longest running volunteer opportunity. Volunteers serve a wholesome, freshly made meal each Saturday in a respectful atmosphere. The kitchen provides a welcoming place of respite for guests and offers vital social services to those in need.
Kids & Teens
Helping Hands provides two opportunities: 1) With Publicolor, volunteers are paired with middle and high school students to repaint and revitalize public school buildings. Or 2) volunteers can support Change for Kids’ mission to invest in NYC public elementary schools in underserved communities.
