Fort Tryon Park – Bulb Planting Jubilee

Please join us at Ft Tryon Park for the final volunteer event with the Friends of Fort Tryon Park of 2018, the annual Bulb Planting Jubilee! First time gardeners and those whom have never done any gardening work are welcome. Groups are welcome too! Please be prepared to be flexible and dress accordingly as we will be doing various gardening and parks beautification tasks. PLEASE NOTE: All volunteers must be 18 years or older and must register individually for the event, even if part of a group. All participants will need to sign in (and out) and sign a waiver for the Park on the day of.
Meet at the information table set up between the two stone columns at the entrance of the main promenade to the Heather Gardens.
Directions – Take the A train to the 190th stop. elevator the stress, exit right at the top of the stairs.

University Soup Kitchen
University Soup Kitchen is Street Project's longest running volunteer opportunity. Volunteers serve a wholesome, freshly made meal each Saturday in a respectful atmosphere. The kitchen provides a welcoming place of respite for guests and offers vital social services to those in need.
Kids & Teens
Helping Hands provides two opportunities: 1) With Publicolor, volunteers are paired with middle and high school students to repaint and revitalize public school buildings. Or 2) volunteers can support Change for Kids’ mission to invest in NYC public elementary schools in underserved communities.
