Hot 97/PAL Charity Basketball Game @ The Harlem Center
March 28, 2009Free
This time around Street Project volunteers will spend some quality time with the children and staff at the Harlem PAL center while supporting their fundraising efforts.
Join Harlem PAL members to make some noise for the home team while they battle it out with the jocks from HOT 97.1 FM during Hot 97/PAL Charity Basketball Game on Saturday, March 28th !!! Oh yeah.. there will be entertainment throughout the show including a half time show!
Admission is only $5.00 and all the proceeds go to the Harlem PAL center. Join us today and help support a great youth services program!
Most of the kids we have seen throughout the year will be attending so this is a great opportunity to maintain the mentoring relationships Street Project volunteers have built with the kids over the years! We will also have the chance to meet some new families and tell them about our organization!
Meeting Location: Police Athletic League, 441 Manhattan Ave, NY, NY 10026, corner of 119th Street. The quickest way to reach the center is the D express train to 125th Street and St. Nicholas Avenue. Choose your event by cause:
University Soup Kitchen
University Soup Kitchen is Street Project's longest running volunteer opportunity. Volunteers serve a wholesome, freshly made meal each Saturday in a respectful atmosphere. The kitchen provides a welcoming place of respite for guests and offers vital social services to those in need.
Kids & Teens
Helping Hands provides two opportunities: 1) With Publicolor, volunteers are paired with middle and high school students to repaint and revitalize public school buildings. Or 2) volunteers can support Change for Kids’ mission to invest in NYC public elementary schools in underserved communities.
