Ice Skating at Chelsea Piers with Washington Heights Center
February 16, 2008Free
Join us in taking the kids from the Harlem Dowling Washington Heights center to Chelsea Piers for an afternoon of ice skating! We’ll have a quick lunch at 11:30am at the center before heading down to the Chelsea Piers Sky Rink. After an hour or two of skating we’ll bring the kids back up to the center by 4:30.
Note: With our group rate, it will cost volunteers $10 each for entrance and rental. We will be paying for everyone at once so please bring cash or a checkbook.
The kids are really excited for this event so we hope you can join us!

Choose your event by cause:
University Soup Kitchen
University Soup Kitchen is Street Project's longest running volunteer opportunity. Volunteers serve a wholesome, freshly made meal each Saturday in a respectful atmosphere. The kitchen provides a welcoming place of respite for guests and offers vital social services to those in need.
Kids & Teens
Helping Hands provides two opportunities: 1) With Publicolor, volunteers are paired with middle and high school students to repaint and revitalize public school buildings. Or 2) volunteers can support Change for Kids’ mission to invest in NYC public elementary schools in underserved communities.
