Ice Skating at Lasker Rink

Please join the students of Mott Hall Elementary on Saturday, January 21, 2012 for an ice skating trip to Lasker Rink located in Central Park between 106th and 108th streets. The participating volunteers should meet at Mott School, 131st and Convent Avenue. We will leave promptly at 11:00 (please arrive 10 minutes early) and then take the subway to the rink, returning promptly at 3:30 pm. We look forward to seeing you Saturday!

Hunger Relief

University Soup Kitchen

University Soup Kitchen is Street Project's longest running volunteer opportunity. Volunteers serve a wholesome, freshly made meal each Saturday in a respectful atmosphere. The kitchen provides a welcoming place of respite for guests and offers vital social services to those in need.

Citymeals-on-Wheels

Citymeals-on-Wheels provides contact, connection and nourishment to homebound elderly New Yorkers. Volunteers deliver hot, nutritious meals to homebound and often isolated seniors in this program.

Community Support

Parks Revitalization

Help beautify and maintain parks, agencies, and nonprofit organizations all over New York City. We currently support projects in Ft Tryon Park in upper Manhattan through partnership with the Friends of Ft Tryon Park organization.

Bingo with Seniors

Cobble Hill Health Center is a long- and short-term care facility providing services to the disabled and elderly. Volunteers provide their elderly residents with much-needed social interaction. Volunteers lead a game of bingo (complete with prizes!) to boost spirits.

Kids & Teens

Helping Hands

Helping Hands provides two opportunities: 1) With Publicolor, volunteers are paired with middle and high school students to repaint and revitalize public school buildings. Or 2) volunteers can support Change for Kids’ mission to invest in NYC public elementary schools in underserved communities.
