Ice Skating with 125th St center
January 26, 2008Free
Join us in taking the kids from the Harlem Dowling 125th St center to go ice skating in Central Park! We’ll pick the kids up at the Harlem Dowling center at 1 PM and travel to Riverbank State Park at 145th and the Hudson River. (NOTE – this is a change from the previous listing). We’ll bring some snacks to have with the kids after skating and then will drop them off around 5 PM back at the center.
This is the first event we’re having with the 125th center on its own this year and the center is really excited! Ice skating is usually a popular activity so we can use lots of help (even if you’re a beginner skater). Hope you can join us!

University Soup Kitchen
University Soup Kitchen is Street Project's longest running volunteer opportunity. Volunteers serve a wholesome, freshly made meal each Saturday in a respectful atmosphere. The kitchen provides a welcoming place of respite for guests and offers vital social services to those in need.
Kids & Teens
Helping Hands provides two opportunities: 1) With Publicolor, volunteers are paired with middle and high school students to repaint and revitalize public school buildings. Or 2) volunteers can support Change for Kids’ mission to invest in NYC public elementary schools in underserved communities.
