Little Red Lighthouse Festival at Ft Washington Park

Taking the kids from Harlem Dowling to a local lighthouse festival along the Hudson with free activities that include: -Readings of the book, The Little Red Lighthouse and the Great Gray Bridge, by folk singer and songwriter, Pete Seeger.
-Live Music by the Stout Trio and the Latin Jazz Alliance, Fish Grill, Hayrides, Lighthouse Tours, and other fun activities!
12:00 PM with drop-off at 5
Harlem Dowling-Washington Heights Center: 175th Street and Ft. Washington Avenue – right on the A line. The building faces a park/playground and is the same building that is home to Safe Horizons, which has a sign on the outside of the building”
Feel free to bring snacks or any sports equipment along in case we have extra time in the park after the festival. The park is within walking distance of the center.

University Soup Kitchen
University Soup Kitchen is Street Project's longest running volunteer opportunity. Volunteers serve a wholesome, freshly made meal each Saturday in a respectful atmosphere. The kitchen provides a welcoming place of respite for guests and offers vital social services to those in need.
Kids & Teens
Helping Hands provides two opportunities: 1) With Publicolor, volunteers are paired with middle and high school students to repaint and revitalize public school buildings. Or 2) volunteers can support Change for Kids’ mission to invest in NYC public elementary schools in underserved communities.
