Manhattan Middle – Bowling
January 19 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pmFree
Please join us for a trip to the Bowlmor Lanes in Times Square with the kids from Manhattan Middle School. We will meet the students outside Manhattan Middle/ Middle School 326 (164th with entrance on Edgecombe Avenue) at 12:15 pm. We will then travel by subway at 12:45 to get to the Bowlmor by 1:30pm. We plan on returning to the school by 4:00 pm to drop the kids off. We ask the volunteers to contribute your admission to the event, which will be $30, or you can feel free to chaperone only.
We usually meet in the office or the auditorium on the ground floor near the entrance. To get to the school: The school is in Washington Heights, the closest subway stop is on the C train: 163rd and Amsterdam. The school, “Middle School 326 Writers Today Leaders Tomorrow” is two blocks north and one block east. The entrance faces the park and is closer to 165th street than 164th street.
Choose your event by cause:
University Soup Kitchen
University Soup Kitchen is Street Project's longest running volunteer opportunity. Volunteers serve a wholesome, freshly made meal each Saturday in a respectful atmosphere. The kitchen provides a welcoming place of respite for guests and offers vital social services to those in need.
Kids & Teens
Helping Hands provides two opportunities: 1) With Publicolor, volunteers are paired with middle and high school students to repaint and revitalize public school buildings. Or 2) volunteers can support Change for Kids’ mission to invest in NYC public elementary schools in underserved communities.
