Museum of the City of New York with Carnegie East!
October 22, 2006Free
Come join us Sunday, October 22nd when we take the residents of Carnegie East House to the Museum of the City of New York! The more volunteers we bring, the more residents will be able to join the outing! We will be meeting at Carnegie East House (Second Avenue between 95th and 96th Streets) at 1:30pm to each take one or two residents, depending on the number of volunteers, through a self-guided tour of the Museum of the City of New York. The residents average 80 years old in age but all participating will be ambulatory. Please note that a TB test or proof of vaccination will be required (test provided by the in-house nurse). This is a great chance to brighten up someone’s day! Please contact email@example.com for more information.

University Soup Kitchen
University Soup Kitchen is Street Project's longest running volunteer opportunity. Volunteers serve a wholesome, freshly made meal each Saturday in a respectful atmosphere. The kitchen provides a welcoming place of respite for guests and offers vital social services to those in need.
Kids & Teens
Helping Hands provides two opportunities: 1) With Publicolor, volunteers are paired with middle and high school students to repaint and revitalize public school buildings. Or 2) volunteers can support Change for Kids’ mission to invest in NYC public elementary schools in underserved communities.
