Museum of the Moving Image with Washington Heights center

Join us in taking the kids from the Harlem Dowling Washington Heights center to the Museum of the Moving Image. We’ll first have pizza and the center and then head to Astoria, Queens for a 1PM tour of the museum which includes history of movies, clips and interactive activities for the kids. We’ll drop off the kids at the center between 4 and 4:30. Lisa is out of town so please contact Susan with any questions. Hope you can come!

Washington Heights Harlem Dowling center at 336 Ft Washington (between 174th and 175th), Apt 1G. Take the A train to 175th and the center is right across from the park.

University Soup Kitchen
University Soup Kitchen is Street Project's longest running volunteer opportunity. Volunteers serve a wholesome, freshly made meal each Saturday in a respectful atmosphere. The kitchen provides a welcoming place of respite for guests and offers vital social services to those in need.
Kids & Teens
Helping Hands provides two opportunities: 1) With Publicolor, volunteers are paired with middle and high school students to repaint and revitalize public school buildings. Or 2) volunteers can support Change for Kids’ mission to invest in NYC public elementary schools in underserved communities.
