Museum of TV & Radio and Rock Ctr with Washington Heights
December 16, 2006Free
Join us in taking the kids from the Harlem Dowling Washington Heights center to see the tree in Rockefeller Center and then check out the Museum of Television and Radio! The kids will have a quick lunch at the center and then we’ll head down to Rockefeller center to see the tree. The museum is on 52nd between 5th and 6th so we won’t be walking out in the cold much at all!
The museum has archives of thousands of old TV shows that you can view together or in daily screenings. Do you miss Saved by the Bell? Maybe Full House, Fresh Prince or that one specific Saturday Night Live Skit? This museum has it all!
Hope you can come!
12:15 (to leave the center at 12:30)
175th and Ft Washington – take the A train to 175th and the center is between 174th and 175th across from the park. Call my cell if you get lost!
Choose your event by cause:
University Soup Kitchen
University Soup Kitchen is Street Project's longest running volunteer opportunity. Volunteers serve a wholesome, freshly made meal each Saturday in a respectful atmosphere. The kitchen provides a welcoming place of respite for guests and offers vital social services to those in need.
Kids & Teens
Helping Hands provides two opportunities: 1) With Publicolor, volunteers are paired with middle and high school students to repaint and revitalize public school buildings. Or 2) volunteers can support Change for Kids’ mission to invest in NYC public elementary schools in underserved communities.
