(New date in May) Pottery Painting with PAL!
May 19, 2012Free
Please join us and kids from Police Athletic League (PAL) to paint pottery at Little Shop of Crafts on Amsterdam and 94th and have a pizza lunch afterwards. This is one of the kids’ favorite trips and it’s a great opportunity for you to be role model at the same time as sharing a lasting experience with the kids.
We will cover the cost of pottery painting for the children however, each volunteer is responsible to cover their own painting expenses. You don’t have to paint anything, though, and can just help the kids.
We will pick the kids up at the PAL location at 9:45 am to go right out to Little Shop of Crafts and bring them back at approximately 2 pm. We will also provide a pizza lunch for the kids close to the pottery place. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com with any questions. See you there!

University Soup Kitchen
University Soup Kitchen is Street Project's longest running volunteer opportunity. Volunteers serve a wholesome, freshly made meal each Saturday in a respectful atmosphere. The kitchen provides a welcoming place of respite for guests and offers vital social services to those in need.
Kids & Teens
Helping Hands provides two opportunities: 1) With Publicolor, volunteers are paired with middle and high school students to repaint and revitalize public school buildings. Or 2) volunteers can support Change for Kids’ mission to invest in NYC public elementary schools in underserved communities.
