Painting NYCHA – Community Center

Helping Hands will be going to the Bronx to paint a community center with attending children. It’s a fun way to spend a Saturday being a role model to great kids from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.The new location of this event has changed to the Bronx.
Take the 1/9 train to 225th (231st if train skips 225th stop)
The community center is on Broadway between 228th & (230th between Dunkin Donuts & C-town)

Please bring $10 for lunch for yourself and one child.

University Soup Kitchen
University Soup Kitchen is Street Project's longest running volunteer opportunity. Volunteers serve a wholesome, freshly made meal each Saturday in a respectful atmosphere. The kitchen provides a welcoming place of respite for guests and offers vital social services to those in need.
Kids & Teens
Helping Hands provides two opportunities: 1) With Publicolor, volunteers are paired with middle and high school students to repaint and revitalize public school buildings. Or 2) volunteers can support Change for Kids’ mission to invest in NYC public elementary schools in underserved communities.
