Picnic and roller-skating at Riverbank State Park with PAL!
June 16, 2012Free
Please join us and kids from Police Athletic League (PAL) to have a picnic lunch and go roller-skating at Riverbank State Park at 145th St and Riverside Drive. This is a great opportunity for you to be role model at the same time as sharing a lasting experience with the kids – while also reliving elementary school roller-skating parties!
We will cover the cost of roller-skating for the children and the picnic lunch however, each volunteer is responsible to cover their own roller-skating expenses (about $10).
We will pick the kids up at the PAL location at noon to go right out to Riverbank State Park and bring them back at approximately 4:30 pm. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com with any questions. See you there!

University Soup Kitchen
University Soup Kitchen is Street Project's longest running volunteer opportunity. Volunteers serve a wholesome, freshly made meal each Saturday in a respectful atmosphere. The kitchen provides a welcoming place of respite for guests and offers vital social services to those in need.
Kids & Teens
Helping Hands provides two opportunities: 1) With Publicolor, volunteers are paired with middle and high school students to repaint and revitalize public school buildings. Or 2) volunteers can support Change for Kids’ mission to invest in NYC public elementary schools in underserved communities.
