Picnic, Games and Rollerskating with Washington Heights Ctr
June 16, 2007Free
Join us in taking the kids from the Washington Heights Harlem Dowling center to Riverbank State Park for an afternoon of picnic, games and rollerskating! We’ll pick up the kids at noon at the center on 175th St and then travel down to Riverbank State Park on 137th. After having a picnic and playing games like soccer, frisbee, and football, we’ll rollerskate at the Riverbank rink. We’ll bring the kids back to the center by 5PM.
Fans of rollerskating are best but join us even if you don’t want to skate! Some of the kids may prefer to keep playing games instead so all should feel welcome.
Note: rollerskating will be $1 entrance fee and $4 rental.
Hope you can join us!

Choose your event by cause:
University Soup Kitchen
University Soup Kitchen is Street Project's longest running volunteer opportunity. Volunteers serve a wholesome, freshly made meal each Saturday in a respectful atmosphere. The kitchen provides a welcoming place of respite for guests and offers vital social services to those in need.
Kids & Teens
Helping Hands provides two opportunities: 1) With Publicolor, volunteers are paired with middle and high school students to repaint and revitalize public school buildings. Or 2) volunteers can support Change for Kids’ mission to invest in NYC public elementary schools in underserved communities.
