Picnic & Games in the Park with BOTH Harlem Dowling Centers!
September 29, 2007Free
Join us for a day of Picnic & Games in Central Park with the kids from BOTH Harlem Dowling Centers (Washington Heights and 125th Street). This is a new joint event with Wall Street Volunteers and a great chance to meet some new kids as well as some new volunteers.
We’ll pick up the kids from the center (175th Street) at 11am and head down to the park for a picnic lunch first followed by games such as kickball, wiffle ball, frisbee, relay races, etc. We’ll drop the kids off around 4:30pm.
After the event, volunteers from StreetProject and Wall Street Volunteers will be getting together for some networking/drinks at a bar on the Upper West Side (TBD).
Join us if you can!

Choose your event by cause:
University Soup Kitchen
University Soup Kitchen is Street Project's longest running volunteer opportunity. Volunteers serve a wholesome, freshly made meal each Saturday in a respectful atmosphere. The kitchen provides a welcoming place of respite for guests and offers vital social services to those in need.
Kids & Teens
Helping Hands provides two opportunities: 1) With Publicolor, volunteers are paired with middle and high school students to repaint and revitalize public school buildings. Or 2) volunteers can support Change for Kids’ mission to invest in NYC public elementary schools in underserved communities.
