Publicolor: Mentoring with Paint
March 1, 2014Free
Here is your opportunity to have fun while making a difference!
Please join Street Project and Publicolor in painting PS 373 Brooklyn Transition Center.
You will be matched with a youth and act as a mentor while coloring a school for a day. No painting experience required. Volunteers will be available to provide directions.
Since we are teaching good work habits, we ask that you model excellent behavior and a strong work ethic with our students. Lunch will be served, however a donation of $10 is requested from volunteers to help defray the cost.
Dress appropriately with painting clothes and shoes. All other materials will be provided.

University Soup Kitchen
University Soup Kitchen is Street Project's longest running volunteer opportunity. Volunteers serve a wholesome, freshly made meal each Saturday in a respectful atmosphere. The kitchen provides a welcoming place of respite for guests and offers vital social services to those in need.
Kids & Teens
Helping Hands provides two opportunities: 1) With Publicolor, volunteers are paired with middle and high school students to repaint and revitalize public school buildings. Or 2) volunteers can support Change for Kids’ mission to invest in NYC public elementary schools in underserved communities.
