Publicolor: Mentoring with Paint

You will be matched with a junior high school or high school student for a day of mentoring and transforming a public school using paint. No painting experience necessary, just put on some painting clothes, shoes and be ready to have fun! Supplies provided. In order to help defray the cost of lunch, we ask that the volunteers donate $10 per person.

University Soup Kitchen
University Soup Kitchen is Street Project's longest running volunteer opportunity. Volunteers serve a wholesome, freshly made meal each Saturday in a respectful atmosphere. The kitchen provides a welcoming place of respite for guests and offers vital social services to those in need.
Kids & Teens
Helping Hands provides two opportunities: 1) With Publicolor, volunteers are paired with middle and high school students to repaint and revitalize public school buildings. Or 2) volunteers can support Change for Kids’ mission to invest in NYC public elementary schools in underserved communities.
