Rescuing Leftover Cuisine – Nov FiDi / SoHo Event
November 12, 2016Free
Rescuing Leftover Cuisine is dedicated to helping the hungry by rescuing and donating leftover food to homeless shelters. We rescue an average of 50 pounds of food, which feeds about 40 people!
At our event, we will pick up excess meals at restaurants and deliver them to shelters in need. All deliveries will be done on foot.
The event will start promptly at 4:30pm. Please arrive by 4:15pm. We anticipate finishing before 6:45pm.
Feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions!

University Soup Kitchen
University Soup Kitchen is Street Project's longest running volunteer opportunity. Volunteers serve a wholesome, freshly made meal each Saturday in a respectful atmosphere. The kitchen provides a welcoming place of respite for guests and offers vital social services to those in need.
Kids & Teens
Helping Hands provides two opportunities: 1) With Publicolor, volunteers are paired with middle and high school students to repaint and revitalize public school buildings. Or 2) volunteers can support Change for Kids’ mission to invest in NYC public elementary schools in underserved communities.
