Rescuing Leftover Cuisine

Rescuing Leftover Cuisine (RLC) is a non-profit food rescue organization based in New York City that provides solutions to prevent excess wholesome cuisine from being wasted. In support of their aim, we’ll be assisting them with their daily pick up schedule.
Please arrive at the location by 4:15. First pick up is at 4:30 and we typically drop off the collections by 5:30 at a local Soup Kitchen/Shelter.
Please note that this event requires light physical activity. For example, a volunteer should be able to lift a 10-15 pound bag of bagels.
Location: Begins at the corner of Ann St. and Nassau St. in the Financial District

University Soup Kitchen
University Soup Kitchen is Street Project's longest running volunteer opportunity. Volunteers serve a wholesome, freshly made meal each Saturday in a respectful atmosphere. The kitchen provides a welcoming place of respite for guests and offers vital social services to those in need.
Kids & Teens
Helping Hands provides two opportunities: 1) With Publicolor, volunteers are paired with middle and high school students to repaint and revitalize public school buildings. Or 2) volunteers can support Change for Kids’ mission to invest in NYC public elementary schools in underserved communities.
