Sony Wonder and Rockefeller Center with Wash. Heights Center
December 17, 2005Free
Join the Harlem Dowling Washington Heights Center in visiting the Sony Wonder Technology Lab, a free technology and entertainment museum that offers interactive exhibits for all ages. Pickup is 12:45 at the center and we’ll start the afternoon with lunch. Because the museum is located at 56th and Madison, we’ll pass Rockefeller Center walking from the subway, so the kids will get a chance to see the tree. We will drop the kids off at the center around 5:15/5:30.

University Soup Kitchen
University Soup Kitchen is Street Project's longest running volunteer opportunity. Volunteers serve a wholesome, freshly made meal each Saturday in a respectful atmosphere. The kitchen provides a welcoming place of respite for guests and offers vital social services to those in need.
Kids & Teens
Helping Hands provides two opportunities: 1) With Publicolor, volunteers are paired with middle and high school students to repaint and revitalize public school buildings. Or 2) volunteers can support Change for Kids’ mission to invest in NYC public elementary schools in underserved communities.
