Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island with PAL
October 14, 2006Free
Please join PAL on Saturday, October 14th for a day exploring the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island!
We’ll be meeting at the Circle Line Ferry downtown (look for the Circle Line ticket booth) at 11:00am and returning around 5:00pm. Plans are to take the ferry from Battery Park and have lunch at the Statue. After exploring the area, we’ll continue on to Ellis Island before heading home.
It’ll be a great day and the kids are very excited! (We did this trip with different children last year and they had a blast!)
Please sign up through the website — we’ll need a good amount of volunteers! If you have any questions, please let Carrie or Diane know!

University Soup Kitchen
University Soup Kitchen is Street Project's longest running volunteer opportunity. Volunteers serve a wholesome, freshly made meal each Saturday in a respectful atmosphere. The kitchen provides a welcoming place of respite for guests and offers vital social services to those in need.
Kids & Teens
Helping Hands provides two opportunities: 1) With Publicolor, volunteers are paired with middle and high school students to repaint and revitalize public school buildings. Or 2) volunteers can support Change for Kids’ mission to invest in NYC public elementary schools in underserved communities.
