The Cloisters & Park Play w/ the Washington Heights Group!
May 14, 2005Free
Please join us as we take the kids of the Washington Heights center to the nearby Cloisters for a quick kid-friendly tour — including a visit to the top of the Cloisters (for a spectacular view of the city) — and organized games and playtime in the neighboring park area. Pick up from the center at 1:00pm, return to the center by 5:00pm.
**Please remember that we ask all VOLUNTEERS TO PAY FOR THEIR OWN ENTRANCE FEE and any food they may wish to purchase. Street Project pays for the kids and staff of Harlem Dowling. Thank you!**
FYI, the Cloisters admission fee is a SUGGESTED donation, so as long as we pay a minimum of $1 per person (although I’d def. encourage you to pay more if possible), we should be fine.

Choose your event by cause:
University Soup Kitchen
University Soup Kitchen is Street Project's longest running volunteer opportunity. Volunteers serve a wholesome, freshly made meal each Saturday in a respectful atmosphere. The kitchen provides a welcoming place of respite for guests and offers vital social services to those in need.
Kids & Teens
Helping Hands provides two opportunities: 1) With Publicolor, volunteers are paired with middle and high school students to repaint and revitalize public school buildings. Or 2) volunteers can support Change for Kids’ mission to invest in NYC public elementary schools in underserved communities.
