Trip to Harlem Hip Hop Cultural Center with Harlem Dowling

Join us for a visit to the Harlem Hip Hop Cultural Center with BOTH Harlem Dowling Centers on April 12th. We’ll start with a pizza lunch at the center around 11:30 and then head over to Harlem Hip Hop Cultural Center where we have special EDUtainment session scheduled at 1pm. EDUtainment uses elements from the latest Hip Hop music to present information pivotal to a young persons’ successful transition into adolescence and adulthood. After the session, we will spend some time browsing through the exhibitions to learn more about the history of Hip Hop. We expect to drop the kids off at the centers around 3, 3:30pm.

University Soup Kitchen is Street Project's longest running volunteer opportunity. Volunteers serve a wholesome, freshly made meal each Saturday in a respectful atmosphere. The kitchen provides a welcoming place of respite for guests and offers vital social services to those in need.
Kids & Teens
Helping Hands provides two opportunities: 1) With Publicolor, volunteers are paired with middle and high school students to repaint and revitalize public school buildings. Or 2) volunteers can support Change for Kids’ mission to invest in NYC public elementary schools in underserved communities.
