Trip to the Bronx Zoo

Please join the 7th Grade Students of Mott Hall for a fun-filled day at the Bronx Zoo. We will meet at Mott Hall at 10am on Saturday, April 29th and then travel via Public Transportation to the Zoo. In case of rain – Nearest Movie Theater 🙂 I look forward to seeing you all there.
Please note that admission to the Zoo will be free for all, however, voluntees are expected to cover any additional exhibit costs ($12) – Thx
Mott Hall School – 131st and Convent Ave – 10:00am.
The closest subway is the 125th Street stop on the 1/9 red line. Walk east on 125th Street to Amsterdam Avenue – make a left on Amsterdam and continue North until 133rd Street – make a right to Convent Avenue and then another right on Convent to 131st Street. We will take either the #2 or #5 train uptown to East Tremont Ave/West Farm Square. Exit to the left, through the turnstile. At street level, walk straight ahead (follow train uptown) on Boston Road 2 1/2 blocks to the Bronx Zoo gate.

University Soup Kitchen
University Soup Kitchen is Street Project's longest running volunteer opportunity. Volunteers serve a wholesome, freshly made meal each Saturday in a respectful atmosphere. The kitchen provides a welcoming place of respite for guests and offers vital social services to those in need.
Kids & Teens
Helping Hands provides two opportunities: 1) With Publicolor, volunteers are paired with middle and high school students to repaint and revitalize public school buildings. Or 2) volunteers can support Change for Kids’ mission to invest in NYC public elementary schools in underserved communities.
