Urban Adventures Ice Skating at Lasker Rink

Please join the children at Mott Hall Elementary on Saturday, January 28, 2012 for an ice skating trip to Lasker Rink located in Central Park between 106th and 108th streets. The participating volunteers should meet at Mott School, 71 Convent Avenue & 131st Street. We will leave promptly at 12:00 noon (please arrive 10 minutes early) and then take the subway to the rink, returning promptly at 4:30 pm. We look forward to seeing you Saturday!

Please note: The ice skating rink is CASH ONLY. Volunteers that sign should bring enough money with them to cover the cost of entry ($6.75 for adult admission + $6.00 for skate rental) and lunch, should they choose to purchase that from the rink. Locker rental is an additional $4.00 charge.

University Soup Kitchen
University Soup Kitchen is Street Project's longest running volunteer opportunity. Volunteers serve a wholesome, freshly made meal each Saturday in a respectful atmosphere. The kitchen provides a welcoming place of respite for guests and offers vital social services to those in need.
Kids & Teens
Helping Hands provides two opportunities: 1) With Publicolor, volunteers are paired with middle and high school students to repaint and revitalize public school buildings. Or 2) volunteers can support Change for Kids’ mission to invest in NYC public elementary schools in underserved communities.
